ABOUT DRJ
The Drakensberg Rock Jumper (DRJ) run on Sunday 26 April, covers 25km with 872m of elevation gain. It offers a fast, demanding introduction to the trails of the Sani Pass valley.
The race starts and finishes at Premier Resort Sani Pass, forming a loop that showcases the character of the area in a compact format.
From the resort, the route climbs immediately into Gxalingwenya Gorge - a sustained ascent that sets the tone early. At the top, it links into the opening section of the Giant’s Cup Trail, where the terrain becomes more runnable as it rolls toward Sani Road.
Runners then turn onto the road for the climb up to Salt & Pepper, an exposed and honest test of effort before the course releases into a final descent back to the finish at Premier Resort Sani Pass.
