ABOUT UTD MILER
The RMB UTD Miler is returning to its true mountain-experience roots. This year, the route is flipped, with the journey starting at Silverstreams Trading Store near Bushman’s Nek. From there, runners traverse the full length of the Giants Cup Trail before making a full ascent of Sani Pass en route to the highest point in Southern Africa, Thabana Nletyana.
The adventure continues across Lesotho’s high country to Black Mountain Pass, before crossing to Sani Stone Lodge — a nod to one of the race’s historic locations — and then on to Hodgson’s Peak. From here, the descent toward the finish begins, passing Sani Top, dropping to the 12 Apostles Trailhead, and traversing Khanti Ridge before finally finishing at Premier Resorts Sani Pass, 165km after the start.
Race leaders are expected from 10:00 on Saturday morning, with the final runner due home no later than 10:00 on Sunday.

Part of the prize-giving ceremony is The Ringing of the Bells, it’s a celebration of what’s been done and all that’s been achieved. It’s a massive undertaking and one that can only be fully understood once you’ve done it.
